Description
The sonatinas within this album, written some 200 years ago, remain favourites of both students and teachers. They offer a lively introduction to the more complex cousin of the sonatina, the sonata. Literally meaning, a "little sonata" the sonatina is structured in such a way that it resembles a scaled down version f the larger musical form. Included in this album are nine favourite pieces by Clementi, Kuhlau, Dussek and Beethoven Set for Piano solo, edited by Jeffrey Biegel.
