Modes are scales of half steps and whole steps which are often used for improvising. This booklet and audio CD present positions, fingerings, and tips on using major, harmonic minor, melodic, harmonic major, and additional modes in notation, tablature and fretboard pattern diagrams. Each mode goes with a chord. You will be able to use all the notes of a mode to create bass lines or solos over its corresponding chord. By practicing these modes in every key and memorizing each individual pattern, you will be able to play each of them starting from any note on your Bass.
