Book 2 of the best series of classical guitar books on the market. Might not be suitable for self-learning, but I have bought and slod on hundreds of these books with no complaint and many many favourable comments, and happy pupils

Suitable for guitar lessons and easy to follow. Some songs are quite old could be more up to date.

Excellent books for my sons, 10 and 8 years old, who have been avidly learning to play the Guitar.

Book 2 of Nuttall and Whitworth's 4 book set. I have tried many guitar tutors over the years, and these are the best. A smooth progression of varied and enjoyable pieces, from complete beginner to Grade 2 level. Although aimed at children, I have had success using these books with adults, too. I particularly like the way the higher positions are introduced early on, rather than leaving it until there is high level of proficiency in first position, and almost complete ignorance of the rest of the neck.

Although I don't tend to use GW 1 with younger pupils, I do find myself coming back to GW2 as it has its merits. However, would prefer to have quavers introduced in GW1 and find in GW2 that there's not enough work on strings 4, 5 and 6. The chord studies are good but would prefer more consolidation of 1st position before going on to 5th. It means I have to provide supplementary material for pupils: not appropriate in school class setting where there's a resistance to spending more money on music.

Great follow on from the yellow book. About the best method (IMHO) on the market for primary aged children.

A really good teaching book. My 8 year old daughter's using it in school and is really enjoying it. I think the improvements are very slight and the pieces quite small so it's good for keeping children's attention and enthusiasm

This has to be the best book around if you're teaching Key Stage 2 students. It's ideal preparation for the LCM Classical Guitar Step 1/ Trinity Guitar Initial grade exams.
