Created by Sarah Watts and Rebecca Holt, the Hot Keys Piano course teaches instrumental technique and music literacy in a rounded and imaginative way. Both note reading and pattern recognition are of equalimportance to creative opportunities such as composition, improvisation and playing by ear.

In Hot Keys Piano Tutor Book 1 the basics of reading music are clearly explained with handy diagrams and colourfulillustrations. Duets are featured throughout the book to introduce ensemble playing, and improvisation and creativity are encouraged right from the start.
