This is an original piece based on musical traditions from Africa. “Maisha ni Zawadi” is Swahili and means “The life is a gift”. The chorus is based on how an East African choir would have performed the song. Percussion groove is essential in this piece, and this music fits especially well for bands and ensembles who wish to showcase their percussion section.
