The Modern Snare Drummer

The Modern Snare Drummer offers a collection of thirty-eight solos for the intermediate to advanced student of drumming. Designed to challenge both technical and reading skills, these solos should be practiced regularly anddiligently to achieve the desired end result.
Each of the solos is preceded by a Solo Analysis page containing a brief explanation of the solo's structure and highlights, with an emphasis on the more difficult sections of thepiece. The Practice Measures on the same page are selected bars that may present a reading or execution challenge. It is suggested that you practice and master these before moving on to the solo. Solos are in a variety of timesignatures, ranging from 2/4 to 12/8, including 5/4, 5/8 and 7/8.
